2016 Summer Training Sessions
June 13, 2016
CWOA is conducting training sessions in June and July this summer. These are primarily designed for newer officials with zero to four years of wrestling officiating experience. Veteran officials are encouraged to attend. However, the overall focus is on the newer officials. The newer official will be paired with a veteran official during live wrestling. This hands-on coaching will provide the newer official considerable insight and understanding on how to correctly officiate a match.
Each newer official with 0 to 4 years experience that completes one of these sessions will receive a $20 discount from this season's membership fees.
CWOA is conducting the following training sessions this week:
June 16 - Colorado School of Mines Fieldhouse, 6p-830p, 3 officials signed up;
The June 14-16 session at the Air Force Academy has been CANCELLED.
The following is the current schedule for the remainder of the summer:
June 23 (Thursday) Colorado School of Mines Fieldhouse
June 24-25 (Friday - Saturday) Adams State University ***Free dorm room and board provided by Adams State***
June 30 (Thursday) Colorado School of Mines Fieldhouse
July 1-2 (Friday - Saturday) Thompson Valley.
July 15-16 (Friday - Saturday) Legend High School
